Playa Cartagena: El Gran Malecón en Cartagena
Cartagena’s Gran Malecón is an ambitious project that aims to build a stunning boardwalk along its picturesque coastline.
This modern boardwalk will enhance the natural beauty of Cartagena’s shores and offer visitors the opportunity to take a stroll, take in the ocean views, or just be a practical means of walking to downtown from the beach.
The malecón promises to be a significant landmark, reflecting the city’s commitment to sustainable urban development and enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
The construction of the malecón will occur in six phases, with the initial phase expected to be completed by June 2025.
This coincides with Cartagena’s birthday celebrations.
The project is projected to cost around 40 billion Colombian pesos for the formulation phase alone, and it promises to offer both locals and visitors a modern, vibrant space for recreation and leisure.
